A Boy Scout leader sang 'Hakuna Matata' while naked. The organization didn't investigate, suit says
The allegation is part of a $320 million civil lawsuit filed in March 2017 by the parents of two teens.
For the worried New York mom, her young son’s account about how his scout leader stripped naked and belted out a bawdy version of “Hakuna Matata” in front of the boys was a big red flag that something was terribly wrong in Troop 95.
Michael Kelsey, according to an affidavit the mother later signed and filed with Dutchess County Supreme Court, performed “The Lion King” song “with his hips gyrating and penis swinging about” on April 13, 2012, in a locker room after a “night swim” at a pool in Millbrook, New York.

Epstein accusers denied compensation in victims' rights case
A group of women who say they were sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein suffered a setback Monday in their decade-long legal fight over a plea deal that allowed the financier to avoid a lengthy prison term.
A federal judge in West Palm Beach, Florida, ruled that the women were not entitled to compensation from the U.S. Justice Department, even though prosecutors violated their rights by failing to consult them about the 2008 deal to end a federal probe that could have landed Epstein in prison for life. read more »
Computer Scientist Richard Stallman Resigns From MIT Over Epstein Comments
Stallman said the “most plausible scenario” is that one of Epstein’s underage victims was “entirely willing.”
Famed free software advocate and computer scientist Richard Stallman has resigned from MIT, according to an email he published online. The resignation comes after Stallman made comments about victims of child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, including that the victims went along with the abuse willingly.
Last week, Motherboard published the full email thread in which Stallman wrote that the “most plausible scenario” is that Epstein’s underage victims in his campaign of trafficking were “entirely willing." Stallman also argued about the definition of “rape" and whether the term applies to the victims. read more »
