Hagens Berman | Supermint Pro Cycling Team Selected to Compete at Giro Rosa
The Hagens Berman | Supermint Pro Cycling Team is delighted to announce its selection as one of 24 teams invited to participate in the Giro d’Italia Internazionale Women Elite, the most prestigious and lengthy stage race in the UCI Women’s WorldTour.
Also known as the Giro Rosa, the stage race is in its 27th edition and is the only Grand Tour for professional female cyclists. Past winners include notable riders such as former World Champion and Olympic gold medalist Marianne Vos and American rider Mara Abbott.
Hagens Berman | Supermint Pro Cycling Team was founded in 2015 by sporting director Jono Coulter and rider Lindsay Bayer, with a focus on a refreshing approach to the concept of sports marketing in cycling. The team is one of only two American teams invited to this premier stage race, bolstering an already successful debut season that has so far included multiple podiums, an overall win at the Tucson Bicycle Classic and a stage win at the Redlands Bicycle Classic.
Hagens Berman is a Seattle-based law firm with offices nationwide that fights for the rights of consumers, employees, and others against corporate greed and negligence. Outside the courtroom, many members of the firm's legal team enjoy cycling to work and on the weekend and supporting others in their love of the sport. The incredible support of Hagens Berman has made it possible for the women's team to accept this invitation to race the Giro Rosa.
The Giro Rosa runs from July 1-10 with an overall start in Treviso. The full team roster will be released closer to the race.
