Hagens Berman Opens New Office in San Diego
National plaintiffs’ law firm announces tenth office, expanded California presence
Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, a Seattle-based law firm representing plaintiffs in high-profile class actions and complex litigation today announced the opening of a new office in San Diego, marking its tenth location and third in California.
“We’re pleased to announce the firm’s expansion, which extends our presence to five of the 10 biggest cities in the nation,” said Steve Berman, managing partner of Hagens Berman. “Hagens Berman has secured some of its biggest victories in the Golden State, and with the addition of our San Diego location, we’re only getting started.”
Berman co-founded the firm of 64 attorneys and has championed record-breaking victories for plaintiffs, including the largest settlement in world history against Big Tobacco, the largest antitrust settlement, the largest ERISA settlement and many of the largest securities settlements in U.S. history.
With the opening of the firm’s newest office, Hagens Berman is also welcoming the addition of Kevin Green, a seasoned San Diego appellate attorney with a substantial track record of reversals leading to major settlements.
"I was drawn to Steve's singular and unapologetic focus on protecting consumers through innovative litigation,” Green said. “As Hagens Berman has grown in recent years, I look forward to supporting the firm's expanding appellate practice.”
Green’s addition to Hagens Berman and track record of successful litigation bolsters the firm’s most robust practice areas, including consumer rights, securities and investor fraud and employment/wage and hour litigation.
“Kevin brings with him years of experience in Hagens Berman’s key practice areas, and he’ll be a true asset to the firm’s new home in San Diego,” Berman added.
Hagens Berman currently represents plaintiffs in a number of high-profile cases, including vehicle owners against GM in the ignition switch defect litigation, student-athletes fighting the NCAA for concussion injuries and scholarship rights, and consumers suing Lumber Liquidators for tainted, toxic flooring.
Hagens Berman has built its presence as a force against fraud and corporate negligence, fighting for the rights of consumers, investors, whistleblowers and others through novel applications of the law that produce tangible results for plaintiffs nationwide.
The firm also has offices in Seattle, Boston, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix, San Francisco and Washington D.C.
