Hagens Berman Attorneys Named Rising Stars
Hagens Berman today announced that attorneys Peter Borkon, Shana Scarlett and Jason Zweig have been named “Rising Stars” byNorthern California Super Lawyers and New York Super Lawyers.
The annual award is limited to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys who are either under 40-years-old or who have been licensed to practice for less than 10 years. The publications chose Borkon, Zweig and Scarlett after a rigorous selection process based on various factors including experience, professional reputation and educational credentials.
Borkon has worked in Hagens Berman’s San Francisco office since 2007. He works primarily on securities class actions and was a key part of the team in In Re Homestore Securities Litigation, which resulted in settlements valued at more than $100 million.
Scarlett is a partner at the firm’s San Francisco office, where she works on class actions, including consumer protection and antitrust. She is currently part of the firm’s team prosecuting a case alleging that optical disc drive (ODD) manufacturers conspired to fix the price of drives used in computers, DVD players and video game consoles across the United States.
Jason Zweig joined the firm recently, leading its new office in New York. He has played a role in some of the largest antitrust and securities class actions in history.
