Ford recalling 270,000 cars in North America that could roll away
Ford Motor Co said Wednesday it is recalling 270,000 Ford Fusion cars in North America that could roll away.
The automaker said the recall covers Fusion cars from the 2013 through 2016 model year that have a shifter cable that may detach from the transmission allowing a driver to remove the ignition key when the vehicle is not in park. read more »
Renault could face French court action over emissions following report, paper says
A French probe into alleged emissions cheating by Renault is a step closer to possible court action after a technical report confirmed that some of its diesel engines were configured to emit more pollutants outside official test conditions, Le Monde reported on Monday.
Following Volkswagen's 2015 admission that it had rigged engine software with "defeat devices" to cheat U.S. diesel tests, several European states launched investigations.
They found on-the-road nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions more than 10 times above regulatory limits for some Opel, Renault and Fiat Chrysler models, and widespread use of devices that reduce or shut down exhaust treatment during normal use. read more »
Ram 4x4 pickups recalled because driveshaft could detach
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Canada is recalling 6,886 Ram 1500 4x4 pickups because their driveshaft could detach.
On certain trucks from the 2018 and 2019 model years, the rear driveshaft might not have been properly welded, a recall notice on Transport Canada’s website warns. The weld could break and cause the driveshaft to detach from the truck. read more »
