Lawsuit alleges FCA knowingly sold cars with engines that could suddenly stall

Complainants claim that millions of affected vehicles could lose oil so rapidly the engine could die.

A lawsuit filed against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles alleges the automaker knowingly sold vehicles with defects that can cause their engines to shut off without warning.

The suit was filed April 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan from law firm Hagens Berman, and claims that FCA’s 2.4-litre TigerShark MultiAir II engines consume high amounts of oil and can shut down suddenly if not fixed. read more »

Ford Fuel Pump Lawsuit Says Cp4 Is Defective

A Ford fuel pump lawsuit alleges the Bosch CP4 pumps are defective in 2011-present Ford Super Duty diesel trucks equipped with 6.7L Power Stroke engines.

The CP4 high-pressure fuel injection pumps allegedly cannot handle U.S. diesel fuel specifications.

The class action lawsuit alleges the fuel pumps have lubrication and water content problems, forcing the pumps to run dry and causing metal to rub against metal. read more »
