A number of 2019 BMW i3, i3 with range extender, and i8s are being recalled in the United States over concerns about a faulty high-voltage control module.

Recall Needed for Tesla Vehicles, Says Safety Group
According to the Center for Auto Safety (CAS), a recall is necessary for the Tesla Autopilot. This recall came after a crash involving the Tesla Model S was investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
The incident took place in California in January of 2018. The Tesla vehicle crashed into a firetruck. According to the report, the Autopilot had been engaged for around a half-hour. The driver ignored the warnings to put their hands on the steering wheel. The report showed that the driver had their hands on the wheel for just over one minute.
The driver failed to see the firetruck, and the vehicle didn’t detect it either with the cameras, sensors and radar. The brakes weren’t activated and no other safety measures were used to avoid hitting the vehicle. read more »
