Hagens Berman Announces $10 Million Settlement in Verizon Wireless Case
Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, a consumer-protection law firm, today announced that a $10 million settlement has been filed in its lawsuit against Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) alleging the company violated California law when it charged consumers a fixed $5.00 late fee and a $15.00 reconnect fee.
"This settlement is in the best interests of class members, and we are proud to present it to the court for approval," said Jeff Friedman, partner at Hagens Berman. "We believe that Verizon charged fees in violation of California law and consumers deserve compensation."
