GOOGLE PHONE DATA OVERCHARGING
Hagens Berman's investigation has uncovered that when connected to home or public wifi connections, Google phone users are frequently still charged by their mobile carriers for the use of cell data. One Google customer was overbilled by $200 for cell data when his phone was accessing wifi connections. Google and the mobile data providers for Google phones have been aware of this issue through customers' reports and yet fail to take action.
AM I AFFECTED?
If you own one of the affected devices, you were likely overcharged for your mobile data usage. We believe tens of thousands of Google customers have been misled and overcharged.
YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS
Hagens Berman believes that this overcharging violates Google's contracts as well as various state consumer protection laws. In addition to this illegal overcharging, Google has hidden the cause of overbilling from its customers and engaged in deceptive advertising of its mobile phones.
