VW tells California plans for electric car charging in poorer areas

Volkswagen on Thursday told California it was expanding efforts to build electric car infrastructure in poorer communities, responding to regulators who described "shortcomings" in VW's plan.

The California Air Resources Board in May said that VW's Electrify America unit needed to spell out how it would spend 35 percent of funds in lower-income areas.

The German automaker has agreed to spend $800 million in California and a total of $2 billion nationwide on clean car infrastructure to atone for diesel emissions cheating. read more »

2017 Lexus ES350 Recalled for Suspension Issue

The recall is related to the right-hand side tie rod assembly, which may not have been installed properly during the build process. According to Lexus, in some cases over time, the driver may experience noise, or the vehicle can drift to the left or right while driving. It’s also possible the vehicle may experience a loss of steering control, which can increase the risk of a crash. read more »

Mazda recalls more than 225,000 cars after saying parking brake may not hold

Mazda is recalling nearly 228,000 cars in the U.S. because the parking brake may not fully release or could fail to hold the cars, increasing the risk of a crash. read more »
